All my friends&#39; husbands admit to reading their wives&#39; copies of this ongoing reality/soap opera! I mostly buy it for beach reading on vacation. However, living in Spain, it&#39;s in every hair salon, doctor and dentist&#39;s office, so it&#39;s very easy to keep up. Ana Obregon is one of the best. I didn&#39;t mention her because she hasn&#39;t been as big a presence recently. You made laugh so loud just now I had people at the office trying to figure out what was so funny. They wouldn&#39;t get it.<br /><br />My wife and even I admit, have taken to reading Hola - although we would never buy it, we always leech it from others who buy it stupidly shelling out $10+ a printout for the &quot;imported&quot; version even though Canada now has their own local, cheaper version.<br /><br />We always point out some of the same features you so eloquently pointed out - the plastic surgery death faces, the over the hill wanna be Duke&#39;s and Countesses, and their army of lovers and scorned! This magazine gives us a total break from reality - these people are leeches, their goal in life seems to be who can get the craziest scandals and lovers quarrels in the pages of Hola every week.<br /><br />I love the comment about &quot;la moche&quot; - we refer to her as &quot;la infanta de teror&quot;.<br /><br />One of my favourites, which had a long running list of entries in Hola with lovers and divorces which kept us entertained for a long time was Ana Obregon. Weeks would go by and I would find an old edition someplace and there they&#39;d be, the same cast of characters! Lookup &quot;Ana Obregon&quot;.
